Video game addiction is a topic I take very seriously, but this is the one exception where the parent is clearly at fault enabling her son to go down the wrong route. As a parent you have to have the best interest for your child, and this is obviously not happening in this situation. She is allowing her son to waste his life clock, and the only life he has behind a screen accomplishing nothing productive. This is a sad example when video game addiction simply goes too far, and when left unchecked these are the dangerous results it can have.

This is the disturbing moment a mother is forced to feed her 13-year-old son during his marathon 48-hour gaming session at an internet cafe when he refused to leave the screen to eat.
Lilybeth Marvel, 37, says she became worried two years ago when her son Carlito Garcia began staying late at an internet cafe in Nueva Ecija in the Philippines.
Footage shows her coaxing Carlito into eating breakfast she is delivering to him during one of his gaming binges this week.
The boy becomes agitated and cannot even bring his eyes from the screen or hands off the keyboard as his mother feeds him.
Ms Marvel can be heard saying to Carlito: ‘My poor child… Here, eat now.
‘You have so much money, it might take till tomorrow for you to get home. Are you still needing to pee? My goodness, just feel sorry for my child. You are so irritating.’
She seems deeply concerned for Carlito as she says she is worried he may not eat until the following day.
