The month of March was drama filled as it was in 2020, but that did not stop content creators from grinding on their craft. Amouranth is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and she recently broke a milestone very few people predicted would happen. The milestone was for being the most watched female streamer on Twitch; a title held almost exclusively by Pokimane. Well that is no longer the case, as Amouranth has climbed up the ranks, and just barely edged out Pokimane to get the number one spot (via Streamscharts.com).
Amouranth has been taking advantage of the “hot tub meta” a popular, yet divisive trend that has taken over the Just Chatting category as of late. It should be noted though that Amouranth poured in over 300 hours in the month, while Pokimane streamed a third of the time, but barely got edged out from the top, mainly due to insane peak and average viewership compared to every other female streamer. Is this a trend? Or will more streamers overtake the top spot?
